Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
12th February
There are plenty of ideas for our Screen Free day - including 100 screen free activities, a chart of tasks for the whole family to enjoy and some colouring sheets from Prestwood Village Association. Why not colour Prestwood Pete or Prestwood Penny and stick them in your window for everyone to enjoy!
Prestwood Junior and Infant schools will remain closed Tuesday 5th January to ALL pupils. Pre school will remain open as usual following Government guidance. Due to the late notice of the announcement made last night, we need the day in order to fully implement our online learning as well as identify which children may qualify as key workers and vulnerable children. We apologise for the inconvenience and will be in touch tomorrow.
Dear Parents/Carers,
The DFE have suggested that we take next Friday 18th December as a non teaching day - and staff will make up the day across the Spring and Summer terms. This is to allow 6 days of track and trace up to the 23rd December.
Prestwood Village schools will break up for the Christmas holidays on Thursday 17th December - Junior school will finish at 3.20pm for Y4 and 5 and at 3.30pm for Y3 and 6. After school provision will be available to those parents needing this.
Teachers will not be setting work for the children to do
If a child develops symptoms and consequently tests positive between Friday 18th December and Wednesday 23rd December, please contact the School Office via email. Staff will then be in touch with the rest of the bubble if this is deemed necessary. We obviously hope this will not happen but we do need to be prepared.
No staff will be in school after the end of the day on 17th either which means there will be no childcare available at school on Friday 18th December for ANY children.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and late notice but have only just been told ourselves and thought we should pass on the message as soon as possible.
