Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are planning to open school tomorrow; Mr and Mrs Greene have worked hard to clear the paths around the site, though Clare road may still be icy in the morning in patches. Please can we encourage you not to drive down Clare Road or Blacksmiths lane if at all possible.
The field looks beautiful in the snow, and , so long as it is safe to do so, we hope to get all the children up there at break time tomorrow so please come prepared with wellies, hats, gloves as well as a change of clothes!
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
Roblox Alert
It has come to our attention that one of our pupils has recently been contacted by an adult pretending to a 14 year old girl while playing Roblox online.
Whilst this is a fun and popular game among our pupils, closer inspection will show that it is not a particularly secure environment for young children. The platform provides the opportunity for in-game messaging and chat rooms, allowing your child to interact with strangers online. This is something we strongly discourage for our pupils. Users report that although there is a blocking function, it is not very effective and thumbnails and pop-ups can include offensive and inappropriate language.
Please do take the time to check your security settings at home and find out which games your children are playing. There a lots of useful links regarding online safety on the 'Parent' section of our website, but in the meantime, here is a quick link to some information on Roblox:

Your support in keeping our children safe is much appreciated.
We are very excited to be able to introduce the children to a new online game which should help with their recall of multiplication and division facts - TT Rockstars. You will find the link under the Homework tab on the Children page of the school website.
The Automatic Training Mode which is enabled means that all children will start with 10x table questions whilst they build their familiarity with the games and the numeric keypad. Children will move on a level when they can answer questions at a rate of 20/minute - so get playing to move through the levels!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
