Well done to the 10 Year Six children who represented the school admirably in today's handball tournament. After a slow start, it was very cold, the team started to pull together and to use the skills they've learned in PE with Mr Woodall. Our second match was closely fought with score yo-yoing between drawing and each team taking it turns to lead by a goal - unfortunately the end whistle was against us, meaning a narrow defeat. Our increasing confidence led to wins in our last two games - we came a commendable third overall. A special mention must also go to Mrs Martin and Mrs Hale who not only transported the team to and from the venue but also bravely supported from the side-lines. Their cheering, or was it their teeth chattering, was appreciated by the whole team, and Mrs Eales.
