Last week Prestwood Junior School took a team of Year 5 and 6's to the Maths in Motion International Final at the National Motor Museum. There were schools and colleges there from all over the world including Quatar, Spain and Sweden, to name but a few. Our pupils were competing against teams of all ages and ended up 16th overall and 9th in the Primary category, worldwide. 32 organisations got to the final. Maths in motion allows the children to design and run a sports car and is organised by Jaguar Cars. It gives the children an insight into design, technology and the science behind car design. It allows them to use Maths in a practical and advanced way. We are very proud of our team and our thanks go to Mrs Green and Miss Beynon for running this project. We will be hosting Jaguar to run their training at the school next week.
