Unfortunately, I have had to ask the Year 3 children not to use the Monkey Bars in the playground for now. We have decided that some of them are just a bit too small at the moment; it is just a bit too far for them to fall if they loose their grip. Year 3 have been watching the bigger children swinging across and have tried to do the same, with a nasty injury happening this week.
I will review the situation again after Christmas, and again at Easter, but for the meantime I think it is safest if they don't go on them. If anyone would like to discuss this further please contact me. I am just thinking of the safety of the children, and the prevention of any further accidents to daredevil Year 3 children.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
