Welcome to 5B - Summer term 2016
Can you believe we are into the final term already - so much more to look forward to; our Longridge Trip,Sports Day and Shakespeare!!
This term we are continuing to learn about the Vikings, our Science is all about Life Cycles and in Geography we will be finding out about Water and Rivers.
PLEASE NOTE - PE is now on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
We had a fantastic two days away at Longridge with many pupils, (and some staff), surprising themselves at what they were able to achieve. It was lovely to see pupils working together as teams, encouraging and congratulating each other as they all did their best in each of the activities.
Hopefully we wore them out and you had a very quiet night upon their return.
Please revise all of the spellings you have learned since January. If you have lost your original lists, copies are available below.
You will be tested on the first Friday back after Easter.
In our English lessons, we are studying narrative poetry. We read 'The Highwayman' by Alfred Noyes. Below are the freeze-frames we made of key points in the poem.
Can you tell who each character is and what they are thinking?
In DT, our Food Technology focus is on healthy eating and where ingredients come from. We have chosen to focus on eggs and started with cooking scrambled eggs. We were so proud that EVERYONE had a try, although a couple of people were less enthusiastic than others. Some people were converted to loving scrambled eggs now though, so what a result!
