This week is Road Safety Week. This morning we had a Road Safety assembly led by PC Chris Ging. He reminded the children about the Green Cross Code. We also talked about the importance of wearing a helmet when cycling and being visible when you are out on dark evenings.
This week we talking about places that are familiar to us and reading stories with a familiar setting. How is the setting described to us? The author doesn't just tell us where a story is set but instead builds up a picture through a range of clues. When reading together, you could be clue hunters and try to piece together where the story is set!
