Here you will find homework, and sometimes links to help you with your homework.
Please remember, if you are away when homework is given out it is YOUR responsibility to make sure you collect the homework when you are back in school, not having a copy of the homework (if you've had time to collect it) is not a reason for not handing in homework.
Remember, if you have any problems with your homework to let Mrs Eales or Mr Freeman know as soon as the problem arises - this is much better than not handing your homework in:-)
Homework, Spring Term
For this term, we will be focusing on the skills required to help children to answer the SATs papers in May. Therefore, the homework will be set as follows:
On Friday, children will receive a Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar homework and a Writing task to be brought in the following Wednesday.
English Journal homework will become more structured. On the day corresponding to the day your child brings in their English Journal, they will receive a reading task to be done by the following Monday. On that Monday, all Reading Journals should be brought in and the reading task will be discussed together.
Please note that children should continue to read their reading books as before.
Week 8 - Reading homework given out on Friday is due 16.03.18 - plus continue with National Curriculum spellings and task detailed in document below.
Week 7 - writing task. Please use the weather to inspire a piece of writing - you could write a news report, instructions for building a snowman / sledging / making hot chocolate, write from the point of view of a snowflake / a road gritter , describe snow to someone who's never seen it before ... It's up to you, but try to use a different style of writing to the one you choose when you wrote about the tree.
