We have started looking at rhythm and beats in music this term. The children have been clapping out the syllables in their names. They have been coming up with foods which they can eat based on the number of syllables matching those in their name.
We then had a go at clapping patterns using pictures as clues. For example:
Bee (one clap)
Spider (two claps)
Butterfly (three claps)
Caterpillar (four claps)
Your music challenge is to pick a topic and find words for 1, 2, 3 and 4 claps. Topics might include games, sports, foods or toys.
