This was the question that we asked ourselves. Why does our heart rate get faster when we exercise. We did some research and found out about how when we exercise we use our muscles. Our muscles need oxygen to make them work. We take oxygen in when we breathe and it is carried around our bodies by our blood. The more our muscles move the more oxygen they need therefore our heart needs to beat faster to get oxygen there!
We had a fantastic visit from Dr van Oostrum who taught us all about the movement of water through a plant and also about the process of pollination. To make this even more exciting, we did our Science learning through drama and all had the opportunity to act out part of the process!! Thank you Dr van Oostrum!
