When the weather gets cold and icy, lots of main roads are gritted, this means that they shouldn't freeze over and become too slippy for cars to drive on. Prestwood Junior School is on Clare Road, which doesn't get gritted, this means that it sometimes becomes really icy and dangerous.
Why not have a go at writing a persuasive letter to explain why you think it is would be a good idea for Clare Road to be gritted. What can happen when the road isn't gritted? How would gritting the road change things for you as pupils, for your parents and for us as a whole school?
