For this term, we will be focusing on the skills required to help children to answer the SATs papers in May. Therefore, the homework will be set as follows:
On Friday, children will receive a Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar homework task to be brought in the following Wednesday.
English Journal homework will become more structured. On the day corresponding to the day your child brings in their English Journal, they will receive a reading task to be done by the following Monday. On that Monday, all Reading Journals should be brought in and the reading task will be discussed together. Please note that children should continue to read their reading books as before.
Writing tasks will also be set, these will be linked to humanities or science and the hand in date will be made clear when it is given out – children may be given longer for these written tasks, again this will made clear when the homework is given out.
Maths will continue to be set on Wednesdays to be handed in on Fridays.
BOOKS IN SCHOOL:
English Journals need to be in school on Mondays plus your child's usual English Journal hand in day.
Homework books need to be in school on Wednesdays and Fridays
