The team: Yousuf, Saqib, Sam, Owen, Harry, Alex, Daniel, Chris, Josh (captain) and Charlie
Match Report
The formation we were playing was a 3-2-2 with Charlie in goal, Harry, Yousuf and Saqib in defence, Owen and Sam in midfield, Josh and Chris as strikers and Alex and Daniel as super substitutes. Elangani won the toss and chose to kick-off and number 7 played a one two with a team mate, ran down the wing and scored in the first 20 seconds.
After the first goal we kept possession and nearly scored but unfortunately, number 7 scored 2 more goals. We were supportive and played really good football. They scored a few more goals making it 4-0 and then it was half-time.
Mrs Eales said to us that we were doing well but we should try not to switch off and to keep encouraging and supporting each other, which we did. She sub’ed off Harry for Daniel and put Alex on instead of Chris. In the 2nd half Sam scored a superb goal, making it 4-1; unfortunately the other team scored 2 more.
Next, Owen went on a run passed to Josh who passed it back and scored. There were 10 minutes left and we all got our hopes up. We were making lovely passes, but number 7 intercepted and scored, again. We needed to get a goal back so Owen went on another run and from just outside the box scored a beautiful long shot. The whistle went leaving the score 7-3.
I think we tried our hardest and fair play to Elangani, they were brilliant.
