On Thursday Mrs Eales gave a special assembly as it was “National Poetry Day.” She showed the children videos of poets reciting their poems, using expression and actions. This week we would like the children to pick their favourite poem, write it out and illustrate it. They should then read it through several times, trying to add in expression and maybe some actions, ready to share with the class in English next week. They do not have to learn the poem by heart as they can use their homework book as a prompt.
Some children have been asking if there are any other Maths activities which they can do at home to consolidate the learning which is taking place in the classroom. The school has access to the My Maths website, which has many different Maths games and activities. This can be found at:
